Short-acting β2-adrenergic agonist (Bronchodilator)

Used For

How it Works

Salbutamol is a selective β2 adrenoceptor agonist. At therapeutic doses, it acts on the β2 receptors in bronchial smooth muscle, providing short-acting bronchodilation (4–6 hours). This helps relieve airway obstruction and makes breathing easier.

Asthma management should follow a stepwise treatment plan with clinical and lung function monitoring.
