1. Description

Hydrochlorothiazide and Irbesartan are combined in this tablet to treat hypertension.

Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that increases urination, reducing fluid retention and lowering blood pressure by inhibiting sodium and chloride reabsorption in the kidney's distal tubule.

Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents angiotensin II from binding to receptors in blood vessels and the heart. This causes vasodilation, lowering blood pressure.
