    Hydrochlorothiazide and Irbesartan are combined in this tablet to treat hypertension.

  • Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that increases urination, reducing fluid retention and lowering blood pressure by inhibiting sodium and chloride reabsorption in the kidney's distal tubule.

  • Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents angiotensin II from binding to receptors in blood vessels and the heart. This causes vasodilation, lowering blood pressure.
