Indication / Used For

  • Treatment of acne in adults

  • Reduces bacteria on the skin, prevents blocked pores, and limits new acne formation


How It Works

Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic that works by:

  • Inhibiting bacterial growth

  • Reducing skin inflammation

  • Preventing formation of new pimples and acne lesions


Usage & Safety

Dosage

  • Active Ingredient: Clindamycin Phosphate

  • Use as directed by a physician

Application Instructions

  1. Clean and dry the affected area

  2. Apply a thin film to the affected skin once or twice daily

  3. Avoid eyes, mouth, and inside the nose

  4. Continue treatment as advised, even if symptoms improve early

Drug Interactions

  • May interact with:

    • Keratolytic agents

    • Erythromycin

    • Neuromuscular blocking agents

    • Vitamin K antagonists


When Not to Use

Do not use Acsolve Topical if:

  • You are allergic to clindamycin, lincomycin, or any of the ingredients

  • You have a history of inflammatory bowel disease

  • You previously had antibiotic-associated colitis


Precautions

  • Stop use and consult your doctor if you develop severe or bloody diarrhoea

  • Use only on intact skin

  • Avoid occlusive dressings unless instructed


Warnings

  • Warning 1: Avoid applying near the mouth – may leave an unpleasant taste

  • Warning 2: Do not discontinue treatment early – always follow your doctor's instructions

  • Warning 3: Avoid eyes, nostrils, and mouth – rinse immediately with water if contact occurs
