Description
Famotidine reduces the amount of gastric secretion, suppresses the concentration of pepsin and acid, and lowers the amount of gastric acid produced. It suppresses the production of gastric acid at rest and during sleep, as well as when the stomach is stimulated by food, coffee, insulin, and pentagastrin.
