    Primary Uses

    Zolanix 150mg Capsules contain Fluconazole, an antifungal medication used to treat various fungal infections. Manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), each pack typically contains 4 capsules.

    Indications

    This medicine is used in the treatment of fungal Injectionectionections.

    Side Effects

    Patients using this medicine may at times experience GI (gastro-intestinal) upset, headaches, and rash. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately.

    Pregnancy

    This medicine should not be used in pregnancy.

     

    Lactation

    This medicine should not be used by breastfeeding mothers.

     

    Precautions

    This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with impaired renal (kidney) functions.

    Indications:

    This medicine is used to treat fungal and yeast infections such as vaginal candidiasis (vaginal infection), candidal balanitis (inflammation of the penis), mucosal candidiasis (infection of lining of body cavities; except genital), dermal candidiasis (skin infection), tinea pedis (infection of the soles of feet and interdigital spaces), versicolor candidiasis (skin infection causing spots), invasive candidal infections including candidemia (blood infection) and disseminated candidiasis (spread of candidal infection), cryptococcal infections including meningitis (infection of the meninges of brain and spinal cord), and prevention of recurring cryptococcal meningitis in Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) patients after completion of primary therapy and fungal infections in immunocompromised patients (decreased immunity) after chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

    Administration:

    This medicine is used orally or intravenously. The intravenous form is injected into a vein by a medical professional. However, if you are self-injecting or using it at home, make sure you take all necessary precautions. The dosage is dependent on the age, condition and its severity. Please consult your doctor before use.

    Storage:

    Please store at room temperature. Keep away from excessive light, moisture, and children. Please read the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.

    Side Effects:

    You may experience altered liver function tests, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (skin disorder), headache, upset gastrointestinal tract, epidermal necrolysis (skin disorder) and rash.

    Precautions:

    The patients with heart, renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) impairment should be cautious. Please discontinue if any serious adverse effects occur for an extended period.

    Effects on Pregnancy and Lactation:

    This medicine is not recommended for pregnant or lactating females.
